01 / The idea
A dialogue between two people and the planet beneath them
The Humming Song was inspired by the low-frequency sound associated with the Earth. The track imagines a dialogue between one of the planet's inhabitants and the planet itself, asking who might remain standing in the face of mass extinction.
Director Norbert Fodor translated that idea into a non-conformist new-wave science and cyberpunk world. Ana Guran and Mihai Cristescu play two emotionally connected figures who pursue one another, while the appearance of the band adds another dimension to the story before it returns to a deliberately open, cyclical ending.

02 / The production
Shape pursuit, performance and atmosphere into one cycle
The film was conceived around predominantly nocturnal action. Although the team first considered colour 16 mm, the need for greater low-light sensitivity led them to shoot digitally while preserving the tighter 4:3 frame and its disciplined visual economy.
Alex Pintica's edit holds together the parallel pursuit, the shift into band performance and the return to the film's beginning. His work protects the ambiguity of the relationship while making the cyclical structure legible through rhythm and visual association.
03 / The finished work
An edit that leaves the story open, but never unshaped
The finished music video does not explain the song literally. It builds an atmospheric narrative whose repetitions, interruptions and unresolved ending invite interpretation. We feature it as evidence of the editorial judgement Alex brings to Blue Dot as Head Editor.
