01 / The idea
The weird girl next door answers back
Vena Klymo wrote Soft Spot quickly after hearing something that left her feeling mistaken and underestimated. The song carries that frustration without becoming heavy, turning the reaction into something upbeat, playful and sharp.
For the music video, Vena wanted a world that felt colourful, strange and not too serious, but still held a darker edge. Seventies housewife styling, cowboy references and deliberately cooked domestic ideas became the visual language she described as the weird girl next door.

02 / The production
Build one visual rule, then let the details misbehave
The production keeps the artist's personality at the centre. Styling, performance, colour and surreal objects all grow from the same playful premise, so the video can move between comedy and unease without feeling like unrelated references assembled around a track.
Lukman Syafiq Ibrahim's cinematography carries that balance through bright surfaces, heightened colour and images that allow the joke to remain visually precise.
03 / The finished work
A release world that belongs to the artist
The finished film gives Soft Spot a recognisable screen identity without flattening the song into a literal explanation. It extends Vena's playfulness, frustration and visual taste into a piece designed to stand beside the release rather than simply document it.
