01 / The idea
Big trouble in a small town
Small Crimes takes its cue from a compact comic premise: police, criminals and musicians collide inside a rural pursuit. The character roles and instruments become part of the joke, allowing the performance and narrative to occupy the same world.
The film was made independently from Blue Dot Production and is presented here to show the cinematography, colour and editing craft Max Ravier brings into the Blue Dot collective.

02 / The production
Let the landscape carry the scale
The creative direction uses Gundungurra Country as more than a backdrop. Open roads, distance and the visual language of a small-town crime story give the modest ensemble premise cinematic breadth.
Max Ravier connects the film through camera, colour and edit, while Taneia Ke's creative direction and Sharleen Weerakkody's production work keep the comedy, performance and pursuit inside the same tone.

Independent work that proves collective depth
Small Crimes is not a Blue Dot production. Its value here is the specific filmmaking experience it demonstrates: Max Ravier's ability to photograph, shape and finish a music video whose narrative, performance and landscape all serve the same idea.
