01 / The story
When relief becomes another uncertainty
Roo is wrestling with panic attacks that arrive without warning and make each day more difficult than the last. Looking for relief, she follows her therapist's suggestion and tries hypnosis.
The treatment asks Roo to confront what she fears. As she moves deeper into that process, certainty starts to break down and the possible cure becomes part of the danger.

When sudden panic attacks derail a grounded young woman's life, she turns to hypnosis to search for the source of her extreme anxiety.
02 / The approach
A psychological world built from shifting certainty
LOST stays close to Roo's subjective experience. Precise composition, restrained performance and changes in visual rhythm allow an ordinary environment to become increasingly unstable.
The film does not explain the fear from a safe distance. It places the audience inside Roo's uncertainty, where a gesture, a memory or a familiar space can change meaning without warning.
03 / The outcome
A local short that travelled
LOST travelled through independent film festivals across Australia, New Zealand and the United States, finding audiences beyond its Sydney production base.
Its screening history includes Third Culture Film Festival NZ, Fantastic Film Festival, Perfect Light Film Festival, Melbourne Nocturnal, Inner West Film Fest, Los Angeles Sci-Fi Film Festival and SydFestIndependent.
